Project Freedom is probably the most patriotic game ever made. It involves 2 strictly platonic badass dudes with machine guns killing terrorists and saving the president, and its victory screen features cheeseburgers and a bald eagle. If that's not American I don't know what is.
This is another one designed for the arcade cabinet (and was a big hit) but you can play 2 player on a keyboard if you want. This one was also programmed to scale for two players- twice as many enemies will spawn and if one player gets incapacitated the enemies will all focus on taking down the remaining one.
Note: In the interest of efficiency, the president's cell will not be unlocked unless you kill ALL the terrorists- so make sure not to leave anyone standing.
